1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the Sky Dose app (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Sky Dose is an educational sun exposure and vitamin D tracking application. It provides personalized UV index information, sun exposure recommendations, and estimates related to vitamin D. The App is for informational and educational purposes only.

3. Not Medical Advice

Sky Dose is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Vitamin D and UV-related information in the App are approximations based on published research and should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for professional medical care. Individual results vary based on genetics, age, health, medications, skin type, and other factors. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about vitamin D supplementation or sun exposure, especially if you have medical conditions or take medications. This App is not a medical device and is not regulated by the FDA or any medical regulatory body.

4. Account and Use

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not: misuse or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems; use the App in any way that could harm others or the service; or violate any applicable laws. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

The App and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information for your situation. Use of the App is at your sole risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sky Dose and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or use, arising from or related to your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past twelve months (or zero if the App is free).

8. Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable app store (e.g. Apple App Store) policies. Sky Dose provides educational estimates and tracking tools; individual results vary and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

9. Changes to Terms and Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where feasible (e.g. in-app or by email).

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the App at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Munich, Germany.
